Artemis would be the first to admit that pixies were, indeed, a troublesome bunch of no-good-doers. Pixies lived for those moments and didn’t give a second thought about the future. They couldn’t care less what others thought of them, but Artemis had noticed changes in his thinking. He liked that Evelyn and Reed cared to include him in their projects, and it felt good that the kids appreciated his efforts no matter his size or appearance.
Mysteries persist in a new home for the Gunderson family when a pixie's life later changes after he is caught and has to atone for some earlier misdeeds. Through carrying out atonements, unexpected friendships are formed and Artemis obtains a new self- perception.
